The family members of a two-year-old, Chijindu Felix, are in distress over the disappearance of the child during a church service at the Immaculate Heart parish of the Catholic Church, Umuagwo, in the Ohaji Local Government Area of Imo State.

He said, “I attend another church, while their mother attends that church. But on that day, she had to go to another branch, where they were holding an anniversary. So, she was not around that day.

“Chijindu’s elder sister, Chima, took him to church. It was while they were together in the church that he went missing. The sister said she didn’t know when he went outside and started running around.

“She said she later saw him playing around the statue in the church. Unknown to her, somebody had picked him from the back of the statue because the statue has a low fence. The boy couldn’t have climbed the fence and jumped out; so we believe somebody picked him. This happened during the first mass of the church.”

He said the case was reported at the Umuagwo Police Station, adding that the family had spent a lot of money to search for the victim without any success.

Felix, an engineer, told PUNCH Metro that the family had been distressed as a result of the incident, urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the police.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Enwe
rrem Andrew, confirmed the incident, adding that it was a case of child stealing and not kidnapping.

He said, “It is a case of child stealing. Since nobody has called for ransom, it is not kidnapping. The child was trailed and stolen. The family left the child alone and he got missing in the crowd. Investigations are ongoing.”

As mentioned earlier today, several national newspapers are reporting
Arsenal offered Sanchez £180,000-a-week to extend his contract
recently.

Talking are “ongoing” but the Chilean reportedly wants £250,000-a-week.
Pellegrini already has former Arsenal star Gervinho, 29, and Argentine Ezequiel Lavezzi in his Chinese Super League squad.

Lavezzi, 31, is on an eye-watering £493,000 every week.
Pellegrini added: “Step by step Alexis has led a career with a lot of intelligence.
“He started in South America, always playing for big clubs.

“After that he played in Italy, Spain and now in the Premier League, which is the most powerful in the world.

“Alexis has always done things the right way. Chinese football is
growing every day and the interest in going there is increasing all the
time.
“Maybe at this moment it is difficult to get elite players to leave Europe for China.

The encounter had
seemed promising enough, but the couple brought together by an online
dating site failed to connect because of one glaring, irreconcilable
difference: He was a Donald Trump supporter, she was not.

It’s a scene played out again and again in the dating world: In an
increasingly partisan and polarised country, similarity in political
viewpoints has become a major criterion when choosing — or weeding out —
prospective love interests.
But now, new dating websites are cropping up to take the guesswork out of pinning down political leanings.

One site, TrumpSingles.com specifically caters to fans of the divisive real estate billionaire.
Adored by millions of Americans, Trump is reviled by at least as
many, some of whom are still mourning his election last month as
America’s next president and the defeat of his Democratic rival Hillary
Clinton.

A similar site was set up for supporters of Bernie Sanders, the
tousle-haired Vermont senator whose fiery rhetoric and embrace of
environmental causes earned him a fervent and loyal following among
liberals and voters under the age of 30.

–‘ Making Dating Great Again’–

TrumpSingles says it has registered 12,000 people with a goal of
“Making Dating Great Again”— a riff on Trump’s “Make America Great
Again” campaign slogan.
Unlike conventional dating sites such as Match.com and OKCupid, the
site screens its users to ensure they are not trolls seeking to make
trouble, but truly supporters of the president-elect, who takes the oath
of office next month.

“I thought it was actually a nice idea because I’ve heard so many
stories of people going on dates and everything is going fun and the
political talk starts and kills any chance of a relationship happening,”
TrumpSingles creator David Goss says.

Some 15 percent of Americans use online dating sites, mostly singles under the age of 24, according to the Pew Research Center.
Many have no interest in hooking up with those who support Trump,
whose retrograde views on immigrants and women are widely rejected.

“No Trump supporters” has even become a common refrain on Tinder, Happn and other dating apps.
Progression in the Europa League on Thursday might not make
Manchester United’s season, but failure certainly could help to break
it. And the clash with Zorya Luhansk bears all the hallmarks of the
stereotypical European upset.

Willian happy with Spurs snub
There’s the lethargy-inducing flight from one side of the continent
to the other, the freezing cold weather, the far-from-ideal icy pitch
conditions and the relatively-unknown opponents who have already proved
tough to break down in their previous meeting with United earlier in the
campaign.
What United really need in Odessa is to get in there, get the job
done and get out again, preferably as unscathed as the frosty conditions
allow. And to that end Jose Mourinho needs to select his most
experienced line-up possible to give his side every chance to keep a
cool head and deliver when necessary.

To that end Wayne Rooney’s presence in Ukraine could be crucial. The
club captain was missing from Sunday’s frustrating 1-1 draw at Everton
due to a domestic suspension but returns to the fray on Thursday with
much work still to do to become a first-team regular once more. Since
being dropped in September by Mourinho, and then finding himself left
out of the England XI by Gareth Southgate in October, Rooney has played
in consecutive fixtures only once as he has struggled to find form
amidst regular questions as to his worth to both his club and his
country.

But against West Ham United in the EFL Cup last week Rooney
delivered one of the most character-filled performances perhaps of his
entire career. At the hub of most of United’s best moments, he was one
of the key men in the 4-1 win and would surely have been given another
run-out on Sunday had he not picked up his fifth yellow card of the
season.

It was also the latest example of how Zlatan Ibrahimovic can thrive
with Rooney in close proximity. The Swede’s long-range effort against
Everton was the first of his 12 Manchester United goals to come without
the skipper on the field, and Rooney’s presence within Ibrahimovic’s
vicinity has largely been a huge positive for United.
When Ibrahimovic has needed somebody to read his movement and his
clever play, Rooney has generally been the player responding best. And
that kind of partnership could be crucial in the kind of atmosphere that
will await United in Odessa. The ageing and tiring Michael Carrick
apart, Ibrahimovic and Rooney are the Reds’ two most experienced heads,
and a single move in which the pair link up to good effect might be all
it takes for United to complete the job of qualifying for the knockout
phase of the competition.

Neymar gives Ballon d'Or verdict
This is a fixture United need to simply get out of the way with no
scars to bear, and Rooney is the best option in behind the former PSG
man if they are to make the most of their chances. So often the final
group match of a European tournament demands only that the result is
acquired, and that is most certainly true of this game. Is Rooney
United’s most creative option as a second striker? Most certainly not.
Is he their most in-form player? Of course not. But is he the most
likely to deliver when the chips are down? A tally of 248 United goals,
including a club-record 39 in Europe, suggests he is.
The 31-year-old still has a lot to do to prove himself to be
Mourinho’s best option at No.10 longer term, but the clash with Zorya is
one match in which Rooney is the manager’s best bet of getting the job
The Federation of International Football (FIFA) has revealed the three-man shortlist for the best player in 2016.

Barcelona
star Lionel Messi, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Atletico Madrid
forward Antoine Griezmann are the remaining three nominees in the race
for the inaugural The Best FIFA Men’s Player Award.

High-profile names such as Gareth Bale, Luis
Suarez, Neymar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robert Lewandowski all made the
initial 23-men shortlist, but miss out on a podium place.

The
original list of 23 names has been trimmed down to the Liga trio after
voting by captains and coaches of national teams, select members of the
media and fans voting on the official FIFA website.

Ronaldo
enjoyed a hugely successful 2016 as he guided Madrid to Champions
League glory, before capping a fine year by leading Portugal to their
first major trophy at Euro 2016.

Messi, meanwhile, helped
Barcelona defend their Liga title, while also leading Argentina to the
final of the Copa America Centenario, where Chile proved to be too
strong.

Griezmann made it to the Champions League final with
Atletico Madrid, while also reaching the final of Euro 2016 with France,
only to end up on the losing side on both occasions.

Suarez
claimed the Golden Shoe gong after scoring 40 league goals for Barcelona
in 2015-16, while Neymar helped Brazil claim a maiden Olympic gold
medal, but both missed out on a place in the top three.

It was said that the winner will be crowned at the annual FIFA gala on January 9 in Zurich.

This woman was given the shock of her life - when she was invited
to her OWN wedding. While the bride is usually responsible for the
majority of a wedding's organisation, on this occasion, Mercedes Ortiz
was kept completely in the dark.

In fact, the stunned bride only found out she would be the star
attraction at the wedding when the doors of the church were opened.

Her husband, Gustavo, managed to arrange the ceremony at the church
in Sarandi, Buenos Aires, Argentina, without his wife suspecting a
thing.

And her incredible reaction was caught on camera as dozens of her friends helped surprise her.

An almost nine-minute long film of her entrance, caught by a friend,
shows how staff at the church in the city opened the massive wooden
doors to the church and people start applauding.

Mercedes appears momentarily stunned before it appears someone tells her she has, in fact, arrived at her own wedding.

She had been told she was going to a friend's ceremony.

But she then breaks down into tears as she realises what her soon-to-be husband has done.

Every time she composes herself, as her friends manage to put a veil
on her head, she breaks down into tears as she spots another old
friend.

At one stage, she spots what are thought to be her three children with Gustavo; Gaspar, 13, Gianni, 10, and four-year-old Gala.

It takes her a number of minutes to make her way down the aisle with her father as she stops to greet guests.

But she eventually gets to the altar where she gives Gustavo a kiss.

Later that night, while the couple danced, she told him: "I can't believe you did this, you're crazy."

The childhood sweethearts have been together for 30 years before
Gustavo made Mercedes an honest woman, according to Argentinian site
tn.com .

He is said to have come up with the idea five years ago and spoke to
a father at the Sacred Heart of Barracas Church who agreed to the plan

Samsung has started rolling out a new update to its Galaxy Note5
smartphone from last year. The update, among other changes, brings the
Grace user interface, which made its debut on the ill-fated Galaxy Note7, and will probably also arrive on the S7 series with the Nougat update .
Currently, only South Korean Galaxy Note5 units that are on the Korea
Telecom's network are getting the update, which arrives as firmware
version KKU2CPI1, and is based on Android Marshmallow version 6.0.1.
As is usually the case with OTA rollouts, it may take time for the
update to hit your device. Meanwhile, if you feel impatient, you can
manually check for the update by heading to your handset's Settings menu.
