Nigerian youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho’s rising profile in the English Premiership has accounted for the scalp of fellow African, , who has been forced to look for playing time outside Manchester.
Pep Guardiola’s side yesterday announced Bony’s departure to Stoke City. It also revealed that former Arsenal star, Samir Nasri, has joined Spanish side, Sevilla, on loan.
Ivoiriene, Bony, has made 44 appearances for the African champions, scoring 13 goals, and was a member of the team that tasted glory at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.


He was signed by Man City to provide backup for Sergio Aguero, but young striker Iheanacho moved ahead of him in the pecking order.
Bony has not featured for City this season under new manager Pep Guardiola. He follows Joe Hart in leaving the Etihad Stadium on loan on transfer deadline day. Hart earlier finalised a move to Italian side Torino.
