INEC resolves to proceed with Edo governorship election

INEC has resolved to proceed with the Edo state governorship election despite the advise from the police and DSS that the Saturday September 10th election be postponed due to security reasons. 

 

The police and DSS at a joint press conference, yesterday called on the electoral body to consider the possibility of postponing the election following some intelligence that some miscreants were planning on attacking the state during the Sallah holiday.
