In yet another shocking incident revealed online, a male member of the National Youth Service Corps has allegedly died of laptop explosion in Taraba State.
Popular Nigerian legal practitioner and human rights activist, Inibehe Effiong, has taken to Facebook to share some shocking photos and story of a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who was killed after his laptop exploded on him.

This is the corpse of Segun, the 2016 Batch B, Stream I Corp Member who was posted to Government Day Secondary School Wuro Sembe, Jalingo, Taraba State that died at the Federal Medical Centre Jalingo this morning.
He charged and placed his laptop on his laps while sleeping and it exploded and burnt him to death.
This is very sad. We need to be careful with the way we use electronic devices.
May his soul rest in peace.
The National Youth Service Corps Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Bose Aderibigbe, confirmed the death of the corps member, saying his parents who lived in Ibadan had been informed.
She said, “Segun died on his way to the hospital. We were informed that he was charging his laptop, which he placed on his laps, but the system exploded. His shout alerted his colleagues who rushed him to the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo but he died on the way.
“His next-of-kin has been informed about the tragedy, it was a sad development.”
