This video is so hilarious but has been deemed by some Nigerians as
animal cruelty. According to the eyewitness who shared it via twitter,
the goat ate this man's plate of food (Jollof rice). This must have
struck a nerve as the man angrily grabbed hold of the goat, unbuckled
his belt and thrashed it. Watch the video after the cut.
The little girl was later found, scared and crying with her legs covered
in blood, near the block of flats where the alleged attack occurred.
The Lagos Police Command is on the trail of a suspected burglar who allegedly posted his picture on the Instagram account of his victim.

The command is working on the lead that the suspect, whose name had yet to be identified, mistakenly posted the picture with one of the phones reportedly stolen from the victim, Sam Abimbola.

The suspect had sneaked into the victim’s residence on Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos, at about 3am on Tuesday, carting away phones, a laptop and a passport.

The burglar was said to have gained entry into the apartment through the kitchen.

He also reportedly made away with Abimbola’s wife’s jewellery and the identity card of his sister-in-law, who lived with the family.

While lamenting the loss, Abimbola reportedly got a call at about 7am from a friend, who alerted him to a picture posted with one of the stolen phones on his (Abimbola’s) Instagram page.

Abimbola told Punch that he had woken up around 5am to prepare for work when he discovered the house had been burgled.

He said, “I slept around 2am on that day and my sister-in-law woke me up around 5am, saying that her bag was scattered in the living room.

That was when I discovered that a burglar had entered into my apartment. He cut through the window and got access into the house through the kitchen.

“He entered my bedroom, stole my passport, laptop, two phones – a Samsung Note 5 and a Samsung tablet – my sister-in-law’s ID card and her money.

The burglar also stole my wife’s accessories and took some bottles of water from the fridge.

“I don’t know the extent of what was stolen from my wife’s valuables because she was not around. He ransacked a bag where my credentials were but fortunately, he didn’t go with them.

“Around 7am, he mistakenly posted his picture on my Instagram account with my phone. I am sure he must have used the phone to take the picture.

“I have reported to the police at the Ago Palace division and some of the policemen said he was a known face at a joint in the area.”

The sister-in-law, who did not want her name in print, urged the police to track down the suspect and bring him to book.

Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, who confirmed the burglary, said the police were on the trail of the suspect and he would be apprehended.

Prior to Tecno’s arrival into Africa, Samsung and Apple both
dominated the OEM market. At the time, the mobile phone market in Africa
was at its tipping point and these global players both controlled a
large percentage of mobile phone shipments to the continent.
Unfortunately, even though they controlled a large percentage of the
market, they didn’t succeed in putting a phone in every hand simply
because, their phones were quite expensive and thus could only be
afforded by a few people until Tecno showed up at the party.
In 2006, Tecno arrived at Africa in a quest to provide highly
functional budget phones to people on the continent. Their go-to market
strategy was simple – target emerging markets and the vast majority who
couldn’t afford to buy the seemingly expensive phones in the market. By
executing this clear cut strategy, they made it possible for everyone to
be able to afford a phone and partake in the mobile telephony
development that was sweeping through the continent at the time.

As a dynamic mobile phone company, in November 2007 they released
Africa’s first dual SIM phone the T780 to address the then ongoing
social problem of people carrying around several mobile phones due to
poor Telecoms network infrastructures in the continent. This phone and
the others after it controlled the feature-phone market thereby winning
over new customers and even gaining converts from other brand’s
loyalists. Just after this success stint, they began to release very
competitive high-end devices targeted at the middle and upper-class
customers who had more disposable income to purchase smartphones thereby
eating farther into the market share of the global brands for these
classes of customers.
Now, after several product releases for people of every class, Tecno
has comfortably positioned itself as a force to reckon with when it
comes to driving mobile phone brand penetration and market dominance in
Africa. They have successfully used their pragmatic innovation and
market knowledge to release great products that are tailored to African
market needs year on year.

meeting with African officials in Mina yesterday, said arrangements had
been concluded to assign guides who would lead a group of 250 pilgrims
at a time to the Jamarat and back.
He said the government was putting in place measures to avoid the
stampede that marred the exercise last year, noting that any pilgrim
seen alone in Jamarat would be arrested and prosecuted.
Mohammed also disclosed that each group would not be led by a Saudi
guide alone, but states would also nominate one for the groups.
State officials responsible for the erring pilgrim would also face sanction.
Mohammed, whose remarks were interpreted by an official of the
National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Aliyu Tanko, said the
Saudi government was adopting the kind of schedule used for airlines at
the airport.
“Take this schedule and timing as serious as the time for prayers,” he advised.
Meanwhile, a female pilgrim reportedly passed on yesterday in the
city of Madina. The deceased, whose identity could not be immediately
ascertained, was said to have died after performing the morning Subh
prayers in the Prophet’s mosque in Madina.
The passage was, however, confirmed by an official of NAHCON, but
declined to give details because he was not authorised to comment on the
incident.
